Yankees lose another

I hope for the Yankees sake that they are not like the celebrity curse (3 die). They lost Sheppard a few days ago and now Steinbrenner. I am betting people are praying right now for Jeter's, and Torres health. Yes, I know he is with the Dodgers, but he will always be a Yankee to me.

As a Red Sox fan- George Steinbrenner was never one of my favorite baseball people. But it's hard to deny that he changed the face of the game- he took advantage of the free agent era and changed baseball completely. He's responsible for the salary explosion that took place starting with Reggie Jackson- but he's also in large part responsible for the resurgence of popularity of MLB. RIP George
