I got a phone call from my Congressman yesterday telling me that I would be recieving an Appointment to the Class of '18 :biggrin:

I am so happy and this is literally the best thing that's ever happened to me. Even as early as a half a year ago I wasn't pumped about my chances but being here now - I feel like I'm dreaming.

I want to thank everyone on here, because I found this forum shortly after I found out about USNA (Nov 2010 :eek:) and the advice I have gotten from here (and sometimes CC) has been invaluable.

So thank you!!

I am so happy for you! We both went to West Point SLE and 2nd Session Naval Academy so I feel like I know you :) Did you get the principal nomination in your congressional district/receive an LOA? Anyways, congratulations on all your hard work, you deserve it!
 
I had West Point as my first choice on all 3 of my nomination apps, and I got a nomination from a Senator and a Congressman for WP and none for USNA.

But I got a call last week from the Dean of ad. at USNA telling me that I was getting an LOA. That was pretty depressing because I didn't think I could get a nomination, but I worked it out with my Congressman's Office and it got finalized yesterday.

on that not neither of my Senators, nor my Congressman do Principal noms.

Congratulations! We're still waiting for news on our end...

My DS was at NASS Session II as well and had the time of his life!
