There is a post on the USMA forum about a young man that had his appointment rescinded (I think it was for conduct issues) Typically (though rare), appointments are pulled for conduct or medical reasons.
If you completely tank academically, it could happen. Frankly, there is no reason short of a family calamity for your grades to tank at this point.
Is this a theoretical question or have you found yourself in academic hot water ?
Whatever your transcript says - does your school post grades or just your %
USNA will not assign a grade other than what your school calls it
Traditionally it's 60-69 percent. Our district doesn't have D's. If you drop below 70 you fail and receive an F.What number grade would you consider a D?
Go talk with your teacher, he/she will understand...maybe you can do extra credit or retest? Ask him you need grade C or aboveHas anybody here actually heard of someone getting their appointment rescinded for academic reasons? If so, what were the circumstances? Just wondering...
Almost all high schools automatically send the final transcripts to the college/SA of acceptance.USNA never even asked for my son's last semester transcripts.
