I received a 4 year AROTC Scholarship to VMI for civil engineering, but am seriously considering switching my major to international studies and political science (what I've actually wanted to do all along). I wanted to do engineering for a while because of the money and the fact that it is a solid degree, but I can honestly say that after two years of college engineering classes (statics and solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, etc.) that I loathe engineering and really don't think it is right for me. I called admissions to ask about a switch, but I was told to wait until matriculation because IS is full. So if I change my major, should I get any problems from cadet command?
