    Low quarters-good prom shoes

Gov't issue or Bates? I've been calling around trying to find low quarters and now have more questions than I started with  Do the low quarters have to be the gov't issue "M206H" as mentioned in the boot letter, or are Bates acceptable (#112 or #968)?

    Boots and so much more

I took DS to a nearby Army base uniform shop to try on/buy boots for R-Day. Unfortunately, the sales ladies were of little help (other than pulling boxes and saying "no" to my request to buy socks specifically meant for boots). Observing our floundering, an Officer(West Point graduate) nearby...

If you've accepted an appointment, is ROTC out?

Thanks Pima and marciemi....I agree with the philosophy "hope for the best, be prepared for the worst".

If you've accepted an appointment, is ROTC out?

Thanks marciemi, I will double check on the dates and the info. At least this gives me a starting point. The way I read the letter, I thought DS was automatically dq'd because he accepted his appointment.

If you've accepted an appointment, is ROTC out?

If I am understanding this correctly then, just accepting your appointment does not mean you are enrolled. Only when DS checks in at R-day he is considered enrolled and thus loses the ROTC scholarship. I also see the point about declining the scholarship by May 31st so it can be used by...

If you've accepted an appointment, is ROTC out?

I have read on this forum that some people accept their rotc scholarships and even put down deposits at their "plan B" schools as a kind of insurance policy in case of an injury or any other situation that would cause their DS/DD to lose their offer at a SA. In the paperwork that DS received...

Do all the plebes (USMA) attend? Would I get a chance to see and possibly grab a hug from my son?

    Immunization Form

The immunization form says that the adult dose of the Polio Virus Vaccine (OPV,IPV) has to be administered after the 18th birthday. Since DS will not be 18 before this form is due (April 15th), I'm guessing I should send in an incomplete form and then re-send another form with the update it...

    Rejected

I think that trying to figure out who will be offered an appointment and who will receive a TWE is like nailing jello to a wall. The bottom line is that you have given your absolute best in all endeavors and have no regrets. Control the things you can and be proud of your best effort!

Induction Day - wish i had remembered.....

valuable asset Singaporemom, You are such a valuable asset to this forum, thank you! DS has an appointment to USMA, but is also waiting 3 Q'd with a Congressional nom to USNA. Not positive where DS will end up, but I wish I had the kind of info you provide to USMA as well  As a mom...
