Is the 10 meter tower jump required at usna

I am terrified heights. But, I did the 10M with no issue. The worst part was climbing the stairs and then waiting on the platform. I stayed far enough back I could see the pool and waited until next was yelled. Stared straight ahead and never looked down. Rappelling, I volunteer to go first...

USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

NAPS usually doesn’t see movement for a bit. Tends to be slower than USNA. 1, they start later. 2, usually candidates are waiting on ROTC and other SA options. So as 5/1 approaches usually the movement occurs later. Same with the USNA wait list. MOCs do not call for NAPS.

USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

It does a little quick, but it’s not rare to see this. My guess is a waiver wasn’t approved for someone or they accepted an appointment somewhere else from a specific slate.

    Cancelling my CVW?

I would say go. This is important to your future. Learning to deal with stress, prioritize, and even learning that you can’t get it all done is a core part of USNA life. A CVW is the best thing to get a true look at USNA and day to day life.

United States Naval Academy vs Brown BS/MD

If being a Doctor is your #1 priority… go to Brown. It’s the only way to guarantee that path.

    NAPS Waitlisted

The PRT is not easier than the CFA. But I suppose that is up to each person. The standard is higher on the PRT than the CFA. Prospective M/C can google USNA PRT standards.

    Division I atheltics

Sounds like the start of a great night at Acme… or McGarvys. And probably some demerits and restriction.

    NAPS Waitlisted

Thanks for that clarification. That is change from my time at USNA. Couldn’t remember if it had been removed or not on the SAT.

USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

Anyone who applies for a VP nom technically qualifies for it. Only 5 can be charged there. The Supe can technically have 50 discretionary noms (if I recall correctly). In BGO training it has been repeated many times that USNA prefers to keep that number minimal, I believe most years it’s the...

    NAPS Waitlisted

All who meet the requirements. They have to stay out of trouble, no honor issues, pass the PRT and keep their academics above board. They will also have to apply for all non sources and I believe retake the SAT/ACT. Anyone who completes the requirements will end up at USNA. There will be some...

USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

VP nom. Supt’s nom. They would have to have somewhere they are eligible for to be charged.

USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

I agree in theory. Last minute LOA or waiver that doesn’t go thru they had someone slated in or cold feet and someone backs out… if someone aligns on the wait list to that nom they could do that. Also could slots someone from the national pool to that skate and then pull someone from the wait...

    NAPS Waitlisted

None of us know. The NAPS waitlist has only been around a few years. So it’s hard to gauge how many get off the list. You on it until you aren’t!

If they do rank, they do not release that info. It’s a mystery to everyone but admissions.

USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

The waitlist at NAPS is a relatively new thing. Only been around a few years, so it’s hard to know how many get off the list. Today appears to be the first postings of the NAPS waitlist. Not sure how many they have on their, but it’s smaller than USNA’s.

That didn’t until a year or two ago. It’s a relatively new thing.
