Congratulations everyone please post your stats in the designated thread. I'm interested to see what the applicant pool looks like this time around.
Take a look at the people accepted this year so far, it seems to me as though if you're not a captain of a sports team, and in the top 10 or 15% of your class you don't have much of a fighting chance this year.
I'm waiting on this board too. It is the only thing, school and college related, that I am anxious about. Although I will most likely join the ROTC program anywhere I go I would much rather be contracted. The one thing that gives me hope during this process is the alternate routes to becoming an...
I submitted my application in time for the first board and was not accepted but now that the results from the second deadline are pending I am wondering what I could do for a possible facing of a third board.
I saw the father of an old ex-girlfriend who has served in the US Army since the...
Congratulations to those who posted and thank you for posting, it definitely does help put things in perspective. To me it seems like being a team captain makes a huge difference in acceptance rate.
I would like to see what the applicant pool is like this year so I am making this thread to get everyone's abridged resume here to put it in perspective. Some people were kind enough to share their stats during the October board so I will compile them here for anyone else who is curious...
hmm, thats interesting, the checklist mentions nothing about that. I would think that they would have a PT and interview just as the AROTC did but they didn't list it in the check list as the AROTC did
Am I under the correct assumption that the MROTC program does not require an interview and does not require a physical test? I just started my application today.
I hope they still have more scholarships to announce, my status hasn't changed
To those who did get accepted, could you please post your stats? GPA, PT score, extracurriculars, and the schools you applied to?
Thank you all for replying, its good to at least have some sort of timeline even if it is still a bit vague.
But I have another question, would meeting with the head of the ROTC department of my top school help in my possibly awarding of a scholarship to that school? Or is that not his or her...
I know its only been about a week since the October board met but I was wondering how quick they usually send out their letters of acceptance and denials?
wow, that is a very big decrease. But yeah I know about all the cut backs negative factors contributing to the increasing difficulty to receive one, that's why I'm asking about my chances on here, its a bit unnerving.
For my leadership essay I talked about teaching new practitioners in my Karate Dojo which is something my Karate Master picks me over anyone else to do. Also, for the essay on why I wanted to join the Army ROTC program I talked about how I want to pursue a long career in the military and how I...
