Our family is getting ready to fly to Annapolis for 2/C weekend and I guess I never envisioned getting to this point so quickly! We are so excited to see DS and although we have been out there over 6 times since he was a Plebe, there is something about this visit that is going to seem really special. It is also going to be awesome to have DD with us, who has applied to both USNA and USAFA. I am anxious to hear from other 2/C parents as well as those on this forum who may have some really neat memories of that time to share.

Being together on the downhill side of 2-for-7 (This thing might just be for real!), seeing their digs and how they live, sitting in on a class or 3, meeting several key professors/professional "players", dining with the Mids in King Hall :thumb:, eating Mid food in King Hall , putting some faces and first names to those we've only known by one name (Sorta like Zorro, Beyonce, Liberace), attending Sunday a.m. worship in the Chapel, and as always ... touring the Mid-Store! Enjoying time together.:bump8ls::beer1::jump1:

The town will be bursting at the seams with major reunion classes in town ('62, '72 and I think '82) - allow extra time, and if you want to eat at a special place, get reservations. Good warm-up for Commissioning Week navigation through gridlock in DTA! Have fun. :thumb:

Chapel Service is great on Sunday. The Choir is amazing. Skip King Hall. Hit the Midstore big time.:thumb: As an aside, Easter Service at the Chapel is something special. Have fun with your Mid and a great weekend.

Back from the weekend. I think the highlights had to include seeing the USNA class of 57, 62, and 72. Had some great disucssions with several of them when my DS was admiring the navy blue robe that he has wanted for some time now in the midstore. There were many memories from those reunion classes about how the robes used to be issued and how much they enjoyed wearing them around Bancroft. My son looked wistful as he gazed at the now non-issued robe for one more time. Great weekend with great people and so glad that we are part of the USNA family!

Congratulations! As WP said, pretty much downhill now. Take care.
