Madmom...I understand your son could not get a waiver for his eyesight? Then, he did not meet the stipulations of the LOA...my son is 3Q'D, passed CFA AND Dodmerb in July...still have not heard from academy....if my son were issued an LOA, he would have an appointment right now, because he has met all of their (USNA)criteria...

Read your posts about the kid on the nom forum who has a principle nom and has been denied. I think USMA has made it pretty clear that his past brushes with the law are not conducive to a successful career at USMA. I am sure they picked up on his attitude as well.

Look into another academy.......sounds like your kiddo has the "right stuff." I know a year seems like forever to a teenager. You and I know it is not.

Appointment packet

Has anyone received their appointment packet back from USNA yet? My D will be sending in her offer this week and would like to get an idea what items are enclosed. Please pm me with any items that she needs to get started on. e.g dental records/final grades/I-day list.

Congratulations to your daughter! My son already sent in his acceptance (we sent ours by FedEx to make sure it arrived!) but have not received anything further yet. The only thing that was asked as of yet (in the originial appointment packet) was the originial or certified copy of the birth certificate and the Police Record Check that you need to take to your local police station.
