Thank you for replying. It happens to be that Rep Gimenez office is minutes from my house, so I picked up the application package in person (online link was having technical issues) and actually had the opportunity of sitting for a few minutes and have a conversation with the person in charge of the nominations program. Deadline was November 1st, I turned in completed package in person in October. On November 24 I visited his office to ask for updates but the person in charge was not there, so I left her a message, never heard back
I check my email spam folder on a regular basis, so I have not missed their email
I do have a senatorial nomination already,
I’m just curious to know if anyone got interviewed and maybe they just chose no to interview me and simply did not update me on that.
I'm also waiting on Rep Gimenez to respond, I've been in contact with two people from his office who both told me that my interview would take place in January sometime. I've followed up with them a couple more times since then, but no response.

Good morning I believe January 31 is their deadline to post nominations so if he interviews in January is still ok. Did you apply to VP and Senators Rubio and Scott?

Yes, I applied for VP and Scott. Heard back from Scott, but didn't get past the interview and haven't heard from VP yet. Have you heard anything back?

My DD was supposed to interview with Rep Gimenez, unfortunately we don’t know why she never had the opportunity. Sen Scott nominated her and she has an appointment to the USNA
I think you’ll have good chances with Rep Gimenez. Not sure how many applicants he has but I am sure senatorial nominations are more competitive, so don’t worry about not getting one from Sen Scott Florida is big and highly competitive
My best advise is to make a resume with all your information, update what needs to be updated, make a few copies and give them out to the people in the interview panel. The time of the interview is very short, you may not be able to say all you want to say
but if they can read about your accomplishments that is all you need, they can even go back later and review it, then they can focus on questions related to your nomination.
Did you completed everything else? CFA, medical, all the requirements need to hv a green check mark. BGO interview how did that go? Checkmark there as well? The day of the interview make sure you let them k ow that all requirements have been completed and is the nomination the only missing part. Good luck!

I am currently living overseas so my interview will have to be online. Should I instead send them a copy of my resume prior to the interview?
Also, what were the stats of your DD? Following my rejection from Sen Scott I contacted his office and they told me that my ACT math score was the main reason for my rejection.
And yes, I have check marks with everything else I am just waiting on a nomination.
Thank you so much for all your help and advice!

Congrats to your DD on nomination and appointment to USNA! My DS also received a nomination from Scott to USNA. He’s part of the civilian prep program so appointment will likely be late in the cycle.

I submitted everything on time (it actually got sent back to me because they moved office and didn't update website, but after calling them everything was cleared up), and received an email last month that they will reach out to set up an interview soon. After no contact for a few weeks I tried to email the person back but got an automated response saying they had retired and to email a different person instead, I emailed them a few weeks ago and have not received a response. I called their office again asking about it (a week or so after emailing) and they said the person is very busy right now and will get to it soon, and it has now been almost a month since that call. Is there anything to do in the situation other than wait? I heard the due date for nominations is around Jan. 15th or so, I have already been interviewed and completed the whole process for both senator nominations.

I think representatives/senators must sent in their nominations by at least Jan 31. They technically still have a month to make decisions. I believe some reps/senators from the same state make decisions around the same time too, so maybe they are just waiting into the New Year! Best of luck!

My daughter’s ACT was not added to the documents. Her SAT was, but in no waysa super star score. They are looking for leaders, they want to see individuals that can manage the SA load work. How many APs are you taking right now. How challenges your extracurriculars are
When they set you up with an interview date, wait until the interview date and 24-48 hrs before upload the resume for them to see. Any help/questions please let me know

Are we talking about Rep Carlos Gimenez?

Good luck to your DS!!! I hope we see his name added to the Class of 2026 list soon

My DS received his nomination from our MOC (NY) to West Point and the Naval Academy. Was told NY Senators will have nominations out after the New Year.

Congrats, as a fellow NY-er I will mention that both Senators ASK, that should you/your child receive a nomination from your MOC, you withdraw your application from their offices. I rescinded my own applications from Sen. Gillibrand's and Schumer's offices upon notification. They both should've mentioned this during the interview.
