2nd board results

I'm a bit confused and perhaps those that received notification on the first board can help me out. When he logs into his application portal, his status now says WINNER, not BOARDED. Down at the bottom of that page it lists his top three choices and next to each one it says PENDING ACCEPTANCE. Does that mean he can use the scholarship at any of those schools?!

What a blessing this is! I hope everyone else gets good news, too. It's going to make me sad if you don't, but please try not to be too discouraged. There's still another round.

Congrats! My page says the same thing, 'pending acceptance'. I only applied to 3 schools and they are all listed so I am assuming they list they schools that you get a scholarship to.

My DS's says this:

"Winner: This applicant has been selected to receive an offer of a 4-year or 3-year Advanced Designee Scholarship to up to 3 schools from the list of schools identified by the applicant in their application. The schools are selected from the applicant’s list based on availability of scholarships at that school at the time of the offer. If an applicant wishes to change schools, they must formally request the change by following the guidelines provided with their winner letter."

Yes, he has to make a choice out of the three. Once he receives the official letter in the mail, he will need to mark his choice and return it to CC by the date specified.

Congrats to your DS and all other winners today!! And for anyone not making this round, please remember there is always the third board.
 
It seems to be all of the UNKNOWN status candidates will receive good news today. So happy for you all. :thumb:

I'm almost glad I had yesterday's messages to prepare for me for today. DS will just shrug it off but it still stinks knowing we have a few months more of waiting and hoping for the 3rd board.
 
Awww, are they all updated? or are they still updating? Still at "Boarded". Does this mean we didn't get it this round?
 
Has anyone checked under uploaded docs to see if they've uploaded the official winner letter, yet? It will say in that letter if it is 3 or 4 year and list the schools. Its the same one you will receive in the mail. It wasn't uploaded for a few days after email for first board, but it may be there already for you guys :wink:

Hard to believe they are done if about 675 offers are going out and we have only heard from a handful of winners here. But who knows, just have to wait it out.

Big congrats to all the winners so far!

Hard to say. This time is different that the first round, which was different from the previous years. Best of luck!

Winner -- top three schools. Anyone know how long it takes for the letter to upload?

Thanks for the suggestion. I just went out there and didn't see anything, so I guess it'll take a few days.
 
Nothing for my DS either. I thought he had great stats but apparently not good enough.

They probably sit in that boardroom and giggle with glee about the different ways that they can come up with to send out the notifications so that it keeps us all off balance. Just pure evil! :wink:
 
winner

My DS received the scholarship for his top 3 schools, with #3 listed first (OOS but cheapest of the 3). His portal was not changed to "Unknown" yesterday. On the "Scholarship Application Status System" website only the 1st of the 3 schools is listed.
