2nd board results

DS's was awarded to top three schools, The Citadel, Norwich and UNG, hoping it's four years, but three would be a blessing, too :) My birthday is Monday and this is the best present ever!

My DS received the scholarship for his top 3 schools, with #3 listed first (OOS but cheapest of the 3). His portal was not changed to "Unknown" yesterday. On the "Scholarship Application Status System" website only the 1st of the 3 schools is listed.

Congrats to everyone!!

Same here, almost - top 3 choices, #2, #1, #3, but in cheapest to most expensive order. Also, status update page (not application portal) also only shows first one listed (#2).

To all who received an offer: Did you have all your schools listed from cheapest-most expensive?

Still Says Boarded

So if the CC Website says "Boarded" under status does that mean he was a non select on this board? Or are they still updating the awardee list?

Yes, it means a scholarship was not awarded (yet). No one knows if they are still updating but in the past it has normally taken 2-3 days as I recall.

No, DS had OOS SMC as #1 & #2, and OOS public as #3. Order listed was #3, #1, #2.

Also, a couple of days ago I posted that there was a phone message when I got home from someone at his #3 listed school, specifically mentioning that DS applied for the scholarship and wanting to talk to him. It now appears to be connected, even though others here have said the school isn't supposed to reach out until the scholarship has been awarded.

Son's were listed in alphabetical order: OOS (public), IS (public), OOS (public)

The in-state public would be the cheapest for the Army; however, the first one listed is where he has the most merit money. The ISP is his first choice. They are all in the same brigade. #3, #1, #2 order

Can someone give me the web address to check...I'm lost. the site I was trying is "https://schlr4yr.usarmyrotc.com/scholarshipstatus/cadetstatushome.html" but I'm getting an message that says "We are having problems processing your request. Please call 1-800-750-7682, press option 5, then press option 2 and you will be connected to a processor who can assist you." Am I on the correct site?

Try this:

https://hs.usarmyrotc.com/dana-na/auth/url_35/welcome.cgi

You would then click on "Application" and then the "Selection Status" tab.

This is the Army ROTC Scholarship Application Status System where you enter in the SS# and DOB. If you have been awarded a scholarship, it will say "You have been offered an Army ROTC Scholarship at.... {name of school}".

The original application website is where it switched from "Boarded" to "Winner" and may list more than 1 school.

And so it begins... Congratatulations to all who received scholarships. For those of you who did not, keep your heads up and remember there is still one more board. Best of luck to you all.

Well first off Congratulations to all who have been awarded a scholarship.:thumb::thumb: Now I guess what my son and I need to do is find out how to up his score for the next board. I have talked with the PMS at the school my son interviewed at, but I have no idea what he scored on the PMS interview. At this point in the game can you change your application on the website before the next board? Also I have seen a couple threads here stating that if you don't get a scholarship you can also go to your college, enroll in the ROTC course and be considered with the help of your cadre for a scholarship at that point. Is this the same process as here? If not, is this a realistic option for us? Any input would be appreciated.

I was so happy and relieved this morning, I had to take a knee to soak it in. My retirement account just got a huge reprieve. Plus... I'm very proud my kid will be joining my Army family.

Thank you Army for seeing the potential in and showing confidence in my son. Thank you to the tax payers and citizens for supporting him in his efforts these next several years. He'll serve your country with dignity and honor.

Absolutely! My oldest son is currently a freshman on a four year scholarship. Several of the guys he met at ROTC orientation did not have scholarships. They formed a core group, work very hard, passed the PFT, volunteer for extra stuff, etc. At the semester, several of them were awarded 3.5 year scholarships. It is my limited understanding that the only change that can be made at this point to the application is an updated ACT or SAT score. Perhaps a more recent GPA that reflects the fall semester?

You summed it up perfectly.

Okay so via the numbers provided yesterday how many more scholarships(approx) would be available on the next board? I honestly don't think I can take another round of this jazz:thumbdown::yllol::shake::unhappy::confused:
