Hey guys, I am currently in my junior year of high school and I have been planning to go into the Army as an officer for sometime now, and I figured I need to start planning for college. I have done research on the 4-year scholarship program, but couldn't seem to find reliable information on the acceptance standards. Goarmy.com states a 2.5 GPA is required, but I feel that being accepted will take a way higher GPA. But here are my stats:
High School GPA of 3.6 unweighted, weighted is a 4.2
Currently in dual enrollment, also known as joint. Meaning I receive college credit for some of my classes that I take in high school
Involved in the Army JROTC program at my current high school.
Involved in extra activities: varsity swimmer, junior varsity cross-country runner, and drill team member of my JROTC unit.
Roughly a 1900 on the SAT (don't have my exact score, but was in the 1850-1900 range
I feel that I have a pretty good chance at getting accepted into the ROTC scholarship program, but would like feedback from people who have some good insight on the Army scholarship program.
Thank you all for your time.
