Is it possible for a graduate with a computer engineering degree to go directly into this AFSC right out of USAFA or ROTC? From what I am finding there is a certain amount of experiance required (~24 months). If direct isn't possible what is the typical path? It's understood that 2LTs are placed where they are needed. Any info would be appreciated as this is the AFSC that appeals the most to me.

Yes, this is standard. Although many actually go direct to AFIT, certainly not all.

Not sure what you are reading that suggests otherwise, but you will commission as a 62E right away and the only "tech school" for that career field is a 3 week acquisitions familiarization course that may or may not still be a thing by the time you graduate.

It is very common to go straight to AFIT for a master's, but it's also common to do an assignment and then go to AFIT after getting a little experience (often within the first 2-4 years of your career).

At this point I'm not sure what I was reading. Thanks for the clarification!
