I know LOA is letter of acceptance, but what exactly is "3qd" and "MOC?" I think "3qd" has something to do with being qualified, and "MOC" sounds like congressmen, but I just wanted to verify. Thanks.

LOA is Letter of Assurance. 3qd means triple qualified. And MOC is Member of Congress. There is a list of acronyms here: http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/showthread.php?t=11568

Don't feel silly. You asked questions that I'm sure many others had! Part of the fun is learning the language of the military with all the various acronyms! I remember getting on the phone asking about getting a BOQ when I was TDY for OBC. My mom overheard the conversation and had to ask for the translation! Good luck!
