AFROTC EA due date

the info to my cadre was directly from the AFPC. I agree with the conflicting info statement, it's too bad we are seeing the unorganized side of the Air Force before we even begin our careers in it.

There's another side?

If the Armed Services were hotels, the Air Force would be the Hilton, the Navy would be a Holiday Inn, the Army would be a Motel 8 - and the Marines? The Marines would be a backwoods country jail run by a sadistic sheriff...

Best Regards!

That sounds about right, the Hilton always seemed to screw up my reservation.

NO KIDDING - but have you ever been to San Onofre Barracks Pendleton? Gotta be seen to be believed!

My Dad did Peleliu, Okinawa, China, and Korea with 1st MARDIV and he always told me: "In combat, never stand up when you can sit down, never sit down when you can lie down and never be awake if you can be asleep - you never know when you're going to get any more rest" Served him (and I ) well...

My son confirms the message about Mon - "95% Chance etc..." So now we wait some more.

Best regards!

My DS said that his Cadre said to them at LLab this evening that they still have not received any info on an EA release date, but would let them know as soon as they found out something. I too believe EA's will not come out before next week, mainly because a good number of cadets will be at NATCON this weekend. Some of whom might not get an EA.

I doubt HQ cares about where cadets are when they release the EAs. You think they would give them out as soon as they are able.

That was just my opinion, but personally I would love to see them come out tomorrow. But according to your info we still have another two week wait. I sure hope that's not true!

BYU graduates Apr 24 from what our cadre said, so in theory (which we all know how well that works with the Air Force), EAs would have to be released before that. In the next breath, our cadre quickly reminded us that A-1 (personnel) really doesn't care what AFROTC wants, they are up at the Pentagon and they have their own priorities. I am to the point where I am going to stop checking my email and this forum at work in the mornings so I can be pleasantly surprised when the email comes through.

We went through this all last year too. They will come out when they come out, and we will have no idea at all how many slots there will be until they actually come out.

All the rest is just guessing.

Why would BYU graduation force the USAF to do anything?

Probably because they are not going to be the only college having graduations starting in the next two weeks, which means finals are over and kids have gone back home.

How do you do a bag drag if you live 6 hours from campus and your school shut down? Their shot records would have to be faxed/scanned from home, and not hand delivered. Orders would need to be mailed.

That does not even touch upon if only 1600 are selected and 2300 went up for the board that means a heck of a lot of cadets that they will be talking to the CoCs via over a phone instead of sitting across a desk. Discussing the disenrollment process is not a fun subject to start with, doing it over the phone makes the AF look like an unprofessional organization.

We were also told this morning "Monday should be the day". Not too convincing. Seems like best case scenario. My finals start Tuesday, talk about a bad week.
