Feeling more positive today. Yesterday when I posted I'd been running off a couple days of little to no sleep in preparation for some killer tests and was hoping EAs would take away some of the gloom of this week. But since crashing yesterday, I feel like the sun will come out....eventually :wink:. Actually, it's pretty nice outside now. Havent noticed between being up at O'dark 30 for PT and being stuck indoors the rest of the time. Might go run off this stress real soon.

Anyways, I guess I've recovered enough to jump on the Monday bandwagon. Here's hoping AF gets it together then.

Plus a lot of our Cadets are at NATCON and won't be back till Tue after notifications if EA's come out Mon.

Kind of hoping that one of the cadets at NATCON will post info they might find out from AF Leadership about the status of EA's. Alot of unknowns about EA's this year?

If the Armed Services were hotels, the Air Force would be the Hilton, the Navy would be a Holiday Inn, the Army would be a Motel 8 - and the Marines? The Marines would be a backwoods country jail run by a sadistic sheriff...

DD is AD USAF. She finished medical training at Ft. Sam. recently and told us stories of not having hot water in entire dorms for a week or so at a time. Not a problem in the summer in Texas but she was there Jan- March. :eek:

The Marines would be a backwoods country jail run by a sadistic sheriff... We former and current Marines take perverse pleasure in this statement.

Romad, out of curiosity how did your DS receive confirmation about the "95% chance for Monday" statement? Did he get an email from his Cadre too?

I think it was email and social media where he confirmed a rumor that had been going around that day. It was definitely the Det CC though.

Or it might have been carrier pidgeon -:confused:... Hmmm - Can't ever get straight answer out of the youngun..

Kind of a sad thing to hear, that the numbers are pretty low, but remember as long as you did the best you could you should be proud. Any AS200 that's been through 2 years and a semester of field training preparation can pat themselves on the back because many do not even make it that far and it is an excellent learning experience they can take into any career field. Yeah, that post sure did generate alot of discussion on Monday. Ironically the new rumored release date is also a Monday!
 
I think perhaps some of the parents on here do not understand the importance of confidentiality in this line of work. The manpower numbers you are all anxiously awaiting have not been published by the Air Force yet. You would have to be extremely reckless to put someone's name out on the internet as a leaker. It's silly to believe that it's acceptable to potentially compromise someone's job for whatever validation it lends to internet watercooler chat. Whether you think the information is reliable or not is entirely unrelated.

I must have blinked and missed the part where a parent was asking a poster to name names.

I think we are all curious to whether the info being passed around this water/ (Jagermeister) cooler came from a good source such as their cadre or if it was from another 200 or a POC.....

But I don't remember anybody asking for a specific name rank and or serial number...

To me it's more of a pressure relief valve while waiting for $100,000 announcement to drop.....
 
+1 ERAU, that was exactly my thoughts. mbitr, I'm sure glad you know what us parents do for a living to make that statement. For your info I am prior service and currently work for a branch of service and have been carrying a clearance for decades. I don't think any confidentiality rules were asked to be broken, you may want to re-read some posts.
 
Confirming the 95% chance for EA's => Monday from Cadre at my Det as well.
 
Confirming with several other posts stating that EA slots will be coming out Monday. This was told by my cadre today.
