I'm an incoming freshman awarded a four year scholarship from AFROTC. I was initially dq'd but received a waiver from DoDMERB. Does DoDMERB automatically notify my detachment that I am medically cleared? I have not received any contact at all from my detachment prior to my DQ so I don't have any point of contacts. Should I wait for contact from my school or go ahead and try to contact them myself? And if it matters any, I don't register for classes until August 13.

    Thanks,

    E

They will be notified also, but since AFROTC scholarship is tied to the cadet and not the college, it is most likely they do not yet you are attending their det. Registration will be when they know.

If I were you, I would send them an email, introducing yourself. Inform them that your are a scholarship recipient and will be registering in Aug.

You should remember just for safety sake to take all of your paperwork with you when you start school. If time/schedule allows during orientation try to meet up with the det.
