What are the dates for notification of an AFROTC scholarship? I know one is coming around the corner.

It depends on which board awards the scholarship and how long (usually a couple weeks) to process the results of each one. If you are not awarded a scholarship by a board you are reboarded up until the final board. SO you may not hear until late March or even April.

I believe the 1st was this month, so some may be finding out results anyday now. I am sure if you go on the AFROTC site they have the dates published. AFROTC is not like NROTC, the dates are known.

Recieved a 4 year Type 1 scholarship! Will AFROTC specify a certain university assignment in the letter or is that posted online somewhere?
Congratulations to all applicants and Happy Holidays!

Mind posting your stats? Did it specify your major?

You can use you AFROTC scholarship at any college/university... congratulations!

    Congratulations to all!

They don't specify a college, they specify a major. You can use the scholarship at any college with an AFROTC unit. You need permission to change the major.

Reboarded. When i had my interview the officer made it seem like only a chunk of applicants were reboarded. Any insight on this?

I was looking over DS shoulder this morning when he logged in, lol.
All his account said was "congratulations, you have been selected..." or chosen or whatever the exact wording was. The account did not specify which type of AFROTC scholarship he has received.
Was yours specific on your account today, or have you already received your letter?
I know when he did his interview at the local university last fall (not the school where he intends to attend) the AFROTC commander offered him a Type 1 right there on the spot to attend that school. Made me a proud mama, lol!!!

    kgriff,
My DS' said which type of scholarship he was awarded right after the Congratulations part. Maybe you just missed it. The font is pretty small for such an important notification.
