I have a couple questions for anyone familiar with the AFROTC scholarship process and regulations. I received an AFROTC 4-year Type 7 scholarship a while ago, and I converted it to a 3-year Type 2 scholarship in order to go to an out-of-state college. The scholarship specified that it was for "Any Major". With this scholarship, I had planned to study Aeronautical Science (considered a non-technical major) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. However, I recently received an email from a Lt. Mary Hoyer, stating that the scholarship guidelines have changed and now the "non-tech" and "any major" scholarship recipients will be required to pursue technical majors only. Does this mean that, with no exceptions, I will have to chose a technical major in order to keep my scholarship? Has anyone else had an issue with this new requirement? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
