Can anyone shed some light on the security clearance investigation process? I have already been interviewed in person by an agent, as have several of my friends and family members. My question is how much information from the investigation trickles back down to the AFROTC/Det level? A couple things came turned up in the investigation that would potentially land me in some hot water with AFROTC, but would not prevent me from obtaining the clearance as far as the U.S. government is concerned. I do know that clearances are granted by another government organization (Office of Personnel Management?). Does AFROTC simply receive a "granted/not granted" notification? Or do they receive a comprehensive report from the investigation?
