AIM Acceptance Question

Do all AIM acceptances get released on May 1st? Or does it come out in waves throughout April?

Any idea if they will announce acceptances even though the program will likely be canceled?

It's a July event, so they're probably holding off on cancelling until the last minute to see if things start to settle down by then. They're going to examine every way possible to get July dates to work for Swab Summer, and once they're comfortable with that they'll know how to answer the AIM question.

AIM is training for 2/C cadet cadre. So cancellation is not trivial to cadet training. I suspect, but that is speculation, that they would reschedule to keep that program if at all possible. Otherwise those cadets will have to be transferred to either CGAS or direct appointment cadre already filled. Normally AIM weeks are complete to allow room for CGAS orientation, so not trivial moves. Again, my speculation.

CGAS training will take precedence over AIM. Incoming swabs may receive extra attention this year if no AIM, as AIM cadre will get shifted to swab summer assignments. Those will be some lucky swabs!

You guys are way more optimistic about summer than me. We are a military family stationed overseas experiencing a stop movement order that is reported to be extended soon. It’s currently in effect until mid-May, wouldn’t be surprised to see it last through June or longer. Can’t imagine bringing high schoolers from around the country/world to the academies is going to feasible in July.
