Already accepted appointment to USMA, what happens to potential Senator nominations?

A few weeks ago I received a service-connected nomination, completing requirements for USMA admission. I had an LOA and received an offer of appointment within a few days. However, before my reception of the service-connected nomination, I applied to 2 Senators and a Congresswoman for a nomination. Since I'm already appointed a member of the Class of 2015, am I removed from the Senators' and Congresswoman's list of potential nominees? I'm just curious because I have a friend trying to attend West Point and wanted to know if his chances of being nominated by a MOC have improved, even if only slightly. Thanks

You should call your Congressional offices and tell them you have received an appointment. They normally aren't notified I think because those representing my offices were surprised when I called and said I didn't need to be considered anymore - one woman didn't believe me and called me back twice to make sure I knew I didn't just have an LOA

I just didn't finish my applications for my other nominations once I got my first one.

But as said, call them up and let them know.

They are all smart people that can figure this out all on their own. Enjoy the next few months, relax, and go to the beach!
