Hi. I'm a high school sophmore focused on earning an appointment at USCGA. Wanted to see if I was qualified; here's what I've been doing:
Tennis, Varsity Sport
Marching Band: Field Captain
Peer Mediation
Hospice Volunteer: Over 150 certified hours
Music Honor Society
New Jersey Region III Band (highly selective, by audition only)
Summer busboy (20 hours a week)
(Natl Honor Society prob junior year)
3.8 Un-weighted GPA, 4.5 weighted, top 9% ranked abt. 30/434
SATs not taken yet, but studying to earn about 650/650!!
And would playing a brass instrument(Drum and Bugle, etc.) and playing a sport increase my chances of appointment?
Thanks for your feedback
