Any rumors on Cadet BRANCHING timeframe?

Let's not forget all those that did not get AD that wanted it or those that chose guard or reserves. Congratulations to them too for choosing to serve and becoming officers in the US Army.
Your careers can be just as rewarding as active duty.:thumb:

Absolutely, couldn't agree more. Every single cadet should be honored for their commitment to service. Congratulations to all of you.

congrats

I had to go look to see who originally posted that pic! I thought for sure iT was going to be scoutpilot. Congrats to your DS on AD!

Wait a minute... seems eerily like an old Rambo movie scene that I remember.

Son just got out of his meeting with his PMS.

Active Duty Aviation, his 1st choice.

I don't think his feet have hit the ground yet.

Good luck to those still waiting and congratulations to those who have found out.

Congrats to your DS!!

Congrats to all the cadets - whatever their service!!

DS is very happy - AG w/branch detail Armor - his 4th choice but Armor was his first so a nice twist:thumb:

Taking a deep breath and preparing for the real world stuff now - wow, this ride just keeps going and going

Love seeing all the branches and excitement. Keeps us lowly ms1 and 2 parents hopeful. Happy for all. Thank you for serving!

Sorry, I've been busy the past hour. Results are most definitely OUT. I was selected for Active Duty Field Artillery. I can try and get some stats later, I just know there were a little over 3,000 making AD. Lot's of combat arms branches coming from my school, most without any type of branch detail.

Congrats and a huge thank you for sharing what you legally could with all of us through this bumpy part of the path!

My cadet commissions in May but will not access for 2 more years. It could be an interesting 2 years with all the changes taking place.

I did see on his schools rotc facebook page though that many of the ECP cadets 2 years older than him did get active duty today so for him his dream is still alive.

+1 from this MS2 mom!

The MS4 that was my son's company commander freshman year got his 1st choice branch. Well deserved. He was an excellent commander and will probably make a fine officer and creative leader.

It comes real real quick. Just yesterday I was signing my scholarship. 4.5 years, 6 states, 6 countries, 3 continents, and a knee surgery later.... ROTC has less than 30 days left of me.

Congratulations to everyone that received news today. Regardless of branch or component, the privilege to lead soldiers is more than enough for me.

Wellll... word had been out for several hours and no text. Yep it was as I suspected when I did not hear. Active duty second choice..... I know he is a little bummed out but I am sure he will gather it together and serve/lead well.

Any time the Army gives you your second choice, chalk that up as a win. They're always happy to go give you your 7th or 8th, too.

DS got DMG and an Ed Delay for medical school. He's interviewing for schools now! He's thrilled!

It sure did speed by. As a mid-year grad, when do you get your BOLC and unit assignments?
