Anybody from the fleet gotten a response?

This is off-topic, but I didn't want to spam with more threads haha.

As a current enlisted saliors and marines, what do you want a future officer in the Navy and Marine Corp to know? Any advice, tips, or ect?

Thanks haha

Hello,
EN3 here, i received a Conditional offer of Appointment to The Naval Academy Prep School this morning. I just have to submit a body composition form. I'm just a little worried about it because I’m a little of the max weight. How will I get the results once submitted?

You have a doc or nurse fill out the form and get it submitted. The Academy medical team reviews it, and makes a determination. Then, you will be either offered the fully qualified NAPS offer, or a rejection. Same way you received the conditional offer.

And, congrats on making it this far!

If you’re not MORBIDLY obese you won’t have to worry! Google Navy BF% and you can see how USNA and the Dept of Navy calculates acceptable BF and weight! Max is 25%

Not sure of the instructions on the form and if it HAS to be a medical provider. I know it can be hard to get an appointment at medical or maybe that's just my command. I'd try and reaching out to a ACFL/CFL at your command and have them do it. It'd probably be easier and they know what they're doing (should at least), as they do plenty of BCA measurements during PFA cycles.

For males ages 18-21, the maximum percentage is 22% which used to be the maximum percentage for all age groups. For females ages 18-21, the maximum percentage is 33%

On USNA medical appendix PDF, the maximum for entrance on I-Day is 25%

Two different things. I believe that USNA will turn you away on I day if you're over 25% But if you're at 23% or 24%, you will FAIL the PRT
for being over standards. This will adversely affect your performance rankings and unless corrected, could lead to discharge.

I get that you are enthusiastic about the info that you have gained but temper that when people in the system tell you otherwise.

I see, thanks for correcting me!

My mentor told me that the AO sent him an email early Monday morning saying the notifications for fleet applications had been pushed back to Friday because they are so behind
