I got a 4 in AP Euro and a 4 in AP Gov. (US) a few years back and I'm pretty rusty in them right now so would it be worth sending them in to the Academy for $25? I'm assuming I would have to take an exam to validate them and I really don't know how good I would do.

From what I remember, you needed to get a 5 in AP Euro, and they don't take AP Gov. I'm not aware of validation tests for either subject, but there might be.

Also remember that any AP score alone will not validate a class. If you score high enough on the validation test the AP score will not be necessary. It'll only help you validate, but it's not enough on its own.

Out of curiosity, is there a validation test for AP Physics C? I took Physics C: Mech and E&M. From the list of APs the academy recognizes and the scores they validate, it says that there is a validation test required you have to take in conjunction with what you got on the AP Exam. I didn't see one for AP Physics C Mech and EM nor did I see one for AP Biology as well. These are two classes I'd extremely like to validate out of and replace with higher classes.

Tennisfan...i was just on the AFA site last night looking at the catalog as my DS is awaiting his AP Amer Hist & AP Eng scores. Unfortunately most of the depts at AFA do not take 4's...a few do, but most require a 5 on the AP test and then you have to take a test to validate it. Good luck.

You can validate the first Physics class (215? Can't remember all the numbers); my son did. However, it was after taking the Physics validation exam. He had taken it in a local U here and was glad to get it under his belt (Physics major now). I do not believe any score on an AP exam is enough to get you out of the validation test.
