EMAIL ADDRESSES:

1. Applicants should have YOUR own personal email address instead of a "family" email, for the actions in the subject line.

2. For any and all communications, use THAT personal email address. Introducing a new email address may cause delays in processing YOUR application. If you use a school email address and you know longer have access to that address, YOU should notify all of the above of YOUR new email address.

CELL PHONE VOICEMAIL BOXES:

1. I have seen hundreds of applicants who have not set up the capability to receive voicemails. YOU may miss lots of voicemails from the folks working YOUR Nom and/or application. Nuff said!

2. I have seen the same with "This voicemail box is full...please call back." If the folks working your application can't leave you a message, this WILL delay processing your Nom and/or applications. :wiggle:

I will add that applicants should also have a professional greeting for their voicemail as well.
Whats wrong with the auto message at the end? I have tried making greetings several times, but it usually just sounds like a kid messing with their phone.

I won't speak for shock-n-awe, but I have not doubt he/she would agree with that in today's security landscape.

The keys:

1. Set up a voice mailbox first and foremost.
2. If you have a message, it should be professional.
3. If you don't, the automated one will be fine. :wiggle:

I could also have stated it this way:
If you have a voicemail greeting, be sure that it doesn’t sound childish, offensive, immature, unprofessional etc…
It may negatively influence a key person in the application or nomination process if they were to hear it.
