I am a candidate for the class of 2025. I have everything completed in my application besides the medical examination. I have emailed the USNA and was told that I wouldn’t receive anything from DODMERB until I was deemed a comepetitive candidate. I have already gotten a congressional nomination, and finished the BGO interview etc.
At this point in the process I still haven’t heard anything from DODMERB. I also still haven’t been rejected or received any notification. I’m curios as to if I am the silent majority? Or if I should continue waiting to hear? Thank you for any and all responses. Best of luck to everyone. (Sorry if this isn’t where it needs to be) thank you you all.

My understanding is that the Admissions Board is still going through all the applications and is still in the process of making decisions. Do you have DoDMERB Results for another Service Academy or ROTC Program? In that case, it is most likely an R252.19 AMI just to affirm that you have not had COVID-19 since you were DoDMERB Qualified.

I have only applied for the USCGA and USNA. I have done the USCGA physical exam. But I have yet to do the DODMERB at all.

I am pretty sure the USCGA utilizes the same DoDMERB Medical Exam. Are you talking about the USCGA Physical Fitness Exam? Because I believe they do not use the DoD Service Academy CFA.

I am talking about the one where they take the height, weight and neck measurements. I do not believe it was that. (So you would be correct)

I'm confused. What exam was that? Was that an exam you scheduled through DoDMETS for DoDMERB or something entirely separately with the USCGA? I did not apply for the USCGA so I am a bit unfamiliar with its application process.

It was separately for the USCGA. Nothing to do with DODMETS or DODMERB. My apologies.

From my understanding, the USCGA is different in that they had a different Physical Fitness Exam, not the Candidate Fitness Assessment used by West Point, Annapolis, USAFA, as well as the USMMA.

However, all the Service Academies utilize the same DoDMERB Medical Exam, which has a Medical Exam that includes the height/weight measurements and also an Optometric exam. Did you go through a DoDMERB Exam yet?

Makes sense. I believe if you get into the USCGA, they will initiate your DoDMERB Exam. From there, those results can be shared with USNA, and getting medically qualified for USNA if you have gotten a Medical Qualification for USCGA is usually just paperwork assuming you having nothing that disqualifies you from USNA medically.

No I have not gone through a DODMERB physical exam yet. I have done all the physical testing in regards to the tests.

Got it. The DoDMERB process should only be around a month-long as long as there are no disqualifying issues (at least that was how long it took for me). I would just recommend that you stay on top of scheduling/filling out paperwork/etc. and it should go smoothly.

So even though I haven’t been contacted by DODMERB personally. I should continue to wait it out? Thank you for the replies.

You will not be contacted by DoDMERB. DoDMERB uses a platform called DoDMETS to schedule the exams and they contract Concord to handle that. You will receive an email from the CIV Team/Concord to schedule your exam. Just keep a lookout for any emails and in your spam mailboxes.

The email I received to start the DoDMERB Process was from info@concorde2000.com if that helps. It didn't go to my spam, but if important emails often go to your spam, maybe whitelist that.

If you haven’t already done this, go to the DoDMERB home page and read all the items and links in the left-hand menu. There is “process,” “FAQs,” “workflows, etc.”

Try to go to DODMERB/dodmets website and login/sign up. When I tried that it said my request/exam was expired after 60 days. So I called and got it fixed and then scheduled my exam. That was after I was told by USNA to do nothing and wait for an email to show up.

I am In the same boat as the original poster (QuestionAndy). After reading all the responses, it is still not clear if I am waiting for an email from info@concorde2000.com or if I should initiate the DoDMERB process myself. Any help with this is appreciated. Thanks.

There is no option to initiate the DoDMERB Process yourself. I am not sure where you got this from, but you need to wait for USNA to initiate the DoDMERB Process and then receive an email from Concorde.

The best resource and contact is @MullenLE, Mr. Larry Mullen, Deputy Chief of Department of the Defense Medication Examination Review Board (DODMERB). I would recommend asking him if you have questions.
