The appointee kits for all appointees to the USAFA class of 2020 are now active. All appointees (who have accepted their appointments) can return to their portals and begin completing the multiple forms and tasks required before travel to USAFA for in-processing will be authorized.

There is A LOT to do, so the sooner you get started the better.

We look forward to welcoming the new class on I-Day!

KEEP A COPY OF THAT SECURITY QUESTIONNAIRE!!

This won't be the first time you fill it out; and you won't remember what you put down...a copy will be a WONDERFUL thing!!!

Oh, and I would recommend typing your SF-86 (security clearance paperwork) instead of HANDWRITING the whole thing. Just sayin'. :D

can any other candidate who has read the instructions to candidates clarify this for me? it does specifically say buy one set of boots prior to I-day and we will be issued "another pair at USAFA to ensure each candidate has 2"

You're assuming these young men and women have a typewriter...or even know what one is?

Typing appears to be a mute point since the forms appear to be all online.

When I did my SF-86, I didn't realize there were text boxes in the form. I printed it and filled it all in by hand. I was just suggesting that this is not a good idea, PARTICULARLY with the SF-86, since it is so long. Definitely be more vigilant than I was!
