You didn't. The other person was confused how someone could get dropped before beast starts. As the word dropped has two meanings relative to USMA/ beast, people could be confused re: what you said.

How do they get dropped before Beast starts?

If you have an injury that prevents you from performing in Beast, you are recycled. This included being sick, in a cast, etc. If you are arrested for drugs or alcohol at a party for example, there is a chance you will be dropped. If you post to social media that raises the attention of administrators and is a violation of the code of conduct at USMA, there is a chance you could get dropped. And by dropped, I mean dropped from the class of 2028.
