Hello, I am a re-applicant currently finished with the first semester of community college with:
Physics Calculus+lab: B (4 cr)
Calculus II: A (4 cr)
Ethics Literature: A (3 cr)
Chem 101+lab: A (4 cr)
*1460/1600 SAT w/680 writing (which does not show up on portal)
I think when calculating my GPA with the credits is 3.73 and not a 3.75. I plan to take Calculus III, Chem 102, Physics Calculus II, and American History to 19th century.
In high school I was very active in school, sports both in school and out of school, had various leadership roles (which I excelled in), and participated in services in my community and abroad. These activities definitely helped me to write IMO a good essay(s) for USMA. In college, I played in multiple adults soccer leagues (co-manager), I was a student senate, tutored college students, did an adults tennis league, taught Taekwondo, and was in a honors chemistry seminar. I also go to the college gym every other day. I completed all my nomination interviews (did not receive one from Senator Mikulski's office) and have yet to hear from Senator Cardin and my Congressional Representative.
Any suggestions to what I can do to possibly improve myself would be greatly appreciative if there is still time (course selection, SAT, CFA?) I would consider myself to be very proactive since I have been updating my file frequently. I have sought to include an additional LOR in my application. I also received a medical waiver a while back, and a LOE which I am very honored to have received. My application is complete with the exception of the semester grades and the supplemental item (for college students). During the break I intend to start EMT training at a local firehouse and work at a restaurant.
I plan to visit West Point in early Spring if there is a spot. Thank you.
