Army ROTC 2022-2023 3rd Board

The advise we were given was submit at 2nd board. The reasoning was if the packet was submitted at the 1st board your score is locked in and compared to the 2nd and 3rd board. Th e later packets have more time to improve SAT, add more acvtivites, improve PT test, ect.
We took the advise and son ended up with a 4 year.
Hang in there the year my son was awarded it seemed that they offered many 3 year scholarships that year. The majority of the Army cadets who showed up at Norwich Fall 2021 were 3 year.
If you have any intention of going active duty think twice about accepting a 2 year military JC college scholarship or applying/accepting a Minuteman-GRF scholarship. Commissioning those routes are very difficult to go AD.
My advise is enroll in college and work hard as an MS 1 and win a campus based 3 1/2, 3, or 2 year scholarship.
Best to all.

FYI

Houston, Texas Area
If your son or daughter is awarded a scholarship. Make sure you reach out to the Houston Army ROTC SORD Unit.
They will actually come out to your school and make a presentation with the "big check" an accomplishment that needs to be recognized.
