My son received the NROTC scholarship last month and he was sent DoDMERB information within a week.Has anyone received an email about scheduling their medical appointments yet? My son accepted his 4 year letter on Oct 31 and he has not received word of anything yet. He has also checked his spam folder. We know it can take up to 30 days, but wondering if any other 1st board winners had received anything yet? He also tried to register himself on DodMETS and it won’t allow him to do so yet. We appreciate any insights others may have.
Thank you- I am a little nervous that something has not come through. He did mention it to the ROO at his top choice and he did not seem to really have any more information or guidance. I know technically they have 30 days, but have heard it usually comes pretty quickly. Thank you. I will have him keep asking questions. My son received the NROTC scholarship last month and he was sent DoDMERB information within a week.
He has already completed the medical and is doing the vision this Friday. Maybe have him check in with his recruiter.
Once Medical exam is done where does it get uploaded? To DODMERB account? My daughter's was two weeks ago but it hasn't been posted. Should I follow up?
hi! Sorry! Army ROTCMay I ask if she was Army ROTC winner? Or another branch? I am wondering when the Army emails about Dodmerb went out. Thank you!
She should go to https://dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil/Default.aspx and review all the information on the sidebar including FAQ. She can also reach out to the examiner and ask them when the exam was submitted to CIV team. Eventually she will be able to see it has been submitted on the DoDMERB Portal. This is a good opportunity for her to begin to handle the process, with you as her back up when she needs extra support or advice on what to do next.Once Medical exam is done where does it get uploaded? Correct. For example, DS got a 4 yr ROTC this year. His top 3 on the list were TAMU, VMI, Citadel (not in that order). He had applied to all 3 but only accepted to Citadel at the time of the ROTC Winner notification. He chose TAMU for the ROTC scholarship and was accepted about two weeks later. VMI also accepted two weeks later. That being said, he was asked to change to a different major at TAMU by the admissions team. So ROTC probably influenced something along the way....hope that helps.Congratulations to all who got 4-yr AROTC full scholarship !
One question, my understanding is, with ROTC scholarship, whatever colleges DS/DD intends to go to, still under condition that they could secure an offer from those colleges first, and the college admission decision has nothing to with this ROTC scholarship (yes, some positive boost). Is it correct ?
