Army ROTC 2023-2024 3rd Board

I currently see the message that the board has been completed and the results have been released. But it still says boarded/under consideration. Should I be worried or do I still have a chance to receive a scholarship?
"Boarded/Under Consideration" is the way it has been after both previous boards. Unfortunately, I do not think you still have a chance at a scholarship. I just think "Boarded/Under Consideration" is where all the non-winners are sitting currently. Honestly, I'm not sure if they will ever move everyone to "Not Selected" or just leave it all as is.

If I were in your shoes, I'd be reaching out to the ROOs at your preferred schools to explore campus-based scholarships or start the process of pursuing a Minuteman GRFD scholarship through the Guard/Reserve.

Haven't heard or seen anything about upgrades yet. Currently working on the theory that info seems to be released around 2pm EST so fingers crossed for the next 90 minutes.

Of course, could be no information today at all!

Exactly. It's hard to know. And while I certainly don't want to give anyone the impression that I expect my DS to get an upgrade, I would expect that least SOMEONE will. So, unless/until I see someone reporting some movement, I'm holding out hope.

I heard from a PMS they overspent on the current junior class and will not be upgrading any scholarships this year. I hope it’s not true. We’ll see!
I have heard similar responses but not sure that is possible while following their methods for awarding. In theory there mathematically has to be 3 year recipients from boards 1 and 2 that have higher point total than some from board three. It is almost statistically impossible for them to guess where to cutoff 4 year winners from previous boards and save exactly the right amount of 4 year scholarships for board 3 to only cover new applicants for 4 year deserving winners.

Exactly this. Seems like at least some number of previously awarded scholarships would now fall into the 4-Year range.

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!! CONGRATU-FREAKING-LATIONS!!!!!!

Let's keep more coming....
Oh, and DS's portal hasn't updated either. But we aren't in direct contact with the ROO at this program, so I'm on pins and needles over here. Please let us know if/when you get that email and portal updates. Thank you.

DS was informed just now that he was upgraded to a 4 year and to look out for an email/instructions later today. Portal doesn't reflect upgrade yet however.
How did they inform you? Hoping we’ll get good news as well.

he sent a text but we have had lots of communication with him, he was super helpful during this process. I am hoping we see it in the portal soon, as it's hard to get too excited until we see it in writing.

That’s awesome and leaves hope for the rest of us! What were his stats if you don’t mind?

BTW, thank you so much for sharing this information. And this is why the SAF is such a wonderful resource for all of us. I honestly don't know how we'd navigate all this without this community.

1330 SAT, 3.7 GPA from a very rigorous private school, played sports/holds several leadership positions at school, (class president and appointed co-chair to a board). Also worked during summers, and very physically fit and already DODMERB cleared.
