Army ROTC 2023-2024 3rd Board

If you do not see results today, do not expect anything until Tuesday. Easter Monday is the federal holiday and Good Friday is typically a day off for uniformed and most DA Civilians take it as a vacation day.

Also, a lot of schools are on Spring Break right now as well, so few cadre on campus. ROO is probably there, but figure most everyone else is gone (I was).

Good insight. Makes me wonder if they might just wait until next week because no one really wants to deal with it until then.

Or put it out and they won't deal with it until next week anyway! I never did anything with it. We had a standard "congrats" email that went out to those who had one of my schools #1 (actually very few). That would just take a few minutes.

Yeah, I obviously hope they put it out today. I was just thinking that all the ROOs won't want to be reaching out to winners over the holiday weekend. But like you said, they probably just won't and will wait until they get back to work next week.

I was told that if it's not posted 1430-1700 EDT today, then it'll be next week.

I think I mentioned last board the general process, but will put here:
AM: released to Brigade Commanders
late-AM/early-afternoon: Brigade Commanders forward to their PMSes

I immediately forwarded to my ROO and most PMSes do just that. The ROO knows best who is who. The list I always got was just a list of names and what kind of scholarship (4yr, 3AD, etc) - I don't remember it having a list of schools, you have to go into CCIM to look at their preferences and which schools it was awarded to.

As always, just because the scholarship is pin-pointed at a short list of schools - it's really good at any school that has Army ROTC. Just contact the ROO at the preferred school and they'll work to move the scholarship.

A lot of us on this thread are waiting to see whether 3-Year AD scholarships may be "upgraded," and it's my understanding that normally occurs after regular board results are released. Any insight on the timing of that more specifically? I assume Cadet Command has to go in and manually process each upgrade individually, but does that occur as part of the overall March board processing, or separately after the first-time scholarship awardees are taken care of?

I remember that being after the March board results...maybe sometime in April. There were also some 3ADs that were made into 3.5 year ADs. It's all based on the remaining budget after committments are made. Someone in USACC RMID does all of the math.

Thanks for the info. That is good to know, and probably those of us in that boat should not expect any kind of notification at the same time as board results. This entire process certainly teaches patience, and at this point, another couple weeks of waiting hardly seems like the end of the world...

my DS was told at his college visit this week that the decisions have been made on upgrades and should be posted by the end of the week.

OK, well that is also good (but conflicting) info. Always hard to know things for sure in this process.

I guess the best indicator of whether anyone received an upgrade will be watching this thread. If others are reporting an upgrade, and you don't get a notification or update in the portal, it may not be happening for you.

Then again, it also sounds like you could possibly get one a little later down the road...

yes, agree with all of that. He seemed to know the status of my DS but said it's not official until posted.

It can even get upgraded to a 3.5 once on campus. I had 2-3 opportunities to do that.
