Army ROTC 2023-2024 3rd Board

They were allotted to me as a PMS to upgrade as I wanted.
Basically, as was explained to us, once you show up at school in the fall, if you work your ass off and really show commitment to the ROTC program, that's how you can potentially be rewarded for your effort in the form of a scholarship for the second semester of freshman year. It's never a guarantee, but definitely nice if there is funding available to award to deserving students.

Mine switched to back to boarded after saying "under consideration" for a few days.... The yellow box that was around "under consideration" has disappeared and is nowhere to be found. Weird.

I think that happens after the last board b/c no one is still under consideration. Good luck to all of y'all!!

DS application just flipped from boarded/under consideration to boarded also. I guess they are making progress towards releasing results!

Anyone else changed from b/uc to boarded? DD is still b/uc. Seems like last rounds the ones that moved to boarded were then moved to winner and the ones that stay on b/uc did not win. :(

Last time my son’s status changed to “Boarded” and he was pushed to this board. Not sure that matters.

What does PMS mean?

My DS and I stopped in to meet LTC while on accepted students day. The ROO had mentioned to my DS after the 2nd board that they have a number of upgrades available on campus. They knew my son was deciding between two
top schools. They had not met in person since we are 1/2 a country away. His meeting with LTC was really good. DS was very impressed. By the time we landed at home my son had a message that he would get the extra year if he accepted to that school. I get the impression from my older cadet son that a certain proportion of cadets look better on paper than in real life....especially a few weeks into a semester of 04:30 wakeups and PT and class load. Not surprising they upgrade those that are deserving especially after they can kick the tires in person.

I will choose to go with this info versus the sometime in April version. 😂
If you look at last years 3rd board post and the dates of upgrades from 3 year to 4 year recipients you get a very good idea. This forum has all the intelligence you need!

DS was a 3 year scholarship winner at the second board. From reading the most recent posts above, it looks like some may not have seen, or don't have, the following banner that has been on top of the portal for the last few days:

*** The final Scholarship Board is completed. Results are currently being processed and have NOT been released. Results are expected to be released prior to 5 April 2024. *** If you need assistance, please email your processor or usarmy.knox.usacc.mbx.train2lead@army.mil ***
