Any of my fellow classmates of 2023 completed the process for the army scholarship for the first board?

DS is board ready. Good luck to everyone, and thank you for your willingness to serve.

I received my email that my file was board reviewed. And I will be notified or or before Nov 2nd!!

DS also got the notification about November 2nd. Now we wait. Good luck to everyone!

My daughter just checked and she received same email. Good luck to everyone!

I got the same email. I did check it yesterday afternoon and said "Boarded".

Don't be discouraged if you don't see any change by Nov. 2nd. The Army as well as Cadet Command has a long history of not hitting their target dates for notifications.

That's one of the great things about this board, when you read that someone has received a notification or one of the ROO's on this board says that the results have been posted, then you'll know that the notification has happened.

Remember that you will only see a change in your status if you are selected for a scholarship, if you have not been selected your status will remain as it is now with no change. You will not receive any message that states that you were not selected this board.

Best of luck to you all.

Hi Y'all,

May I ask a few questions, please?
My child is now also showing as boarded as of yesterday and received the same notification. Congrats to all who are in this position and to all who are still under consideration.
  • Being now Boarded means these candidates are on the OML with a rank grade. This means they are on the list of candidates who MAY be selected to receive scholarship offer(s).
  • It says "Boarded-Under consideration"means the applicant was not chosen to be boarded in the 1st round but is still under consideration for rounds 2 and 3.
  • Does anyone know, historically, how many of the applicants that are boarded in Round 1 get scholarship offers?
  • Further, historically is there an understanding of what percent of Round 1 boarded candidates are offered scholarships per round? Meaning x percent in round 1, y percent in round 2, z percent in round 3, with ___ historically not getting an offer?
  • Should we assume that being boarded in Round 1 is as positive as it sounds? Meaning they made some cutoff?

I don’t know the answers to the awards but we were told by the recruiter at my son’s top choice school that they would review all applicants that completed their files by the deadline at the first board. I don’t think being Boarded is any kind of sign either way. It just says, “yep, you made the deadline and we reviewed it”, not that it is any indication of what might happen. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in with better info :)

True, boarded just means the file was reviewed and scored and the applicant is now on the OML. Everyone who made the cutoff date and showing board ready before the board met should now be in this position.

It is usually a few hundred. I think I remember in past years around 300, but I am not sure and every year is different.
