AROTC Board Results??

Hi Everyone,

Any idea when the first Army board results will be posted? The waiting is killing us, and I am sure a lot of other people too!!!
 
A historical average would yield a 4-6 week timeframe after the selection meetings end...

Welcome to the military where it's best to learn early that term "hurry up and wait" is SOP (standard operating procedure)...
 
My son received an email from the ROO at his 1st choice school that said: "If you are awarded a scholarship from that board [24-29 Oct 16] you should receive an e-mail from Cadet Command with official notification of that scholarship offer. If you have not received an e-mail from Cadet Command by 11 November please give me a call."

So... if this is accurate... emails should be going out before the end of next week... we shall see...

It depends, last year the first board took forever, some schools "pre-notified" their winners earlier, but if I remember, portals did not update until December. While by the third board portals seemed to be the quickest turnaround last year, it was still a full three weeks between the end of the last board until portal changed. (Board met March 7-11, portals changed April 4th, schools were allowed to contact April 5th). I say all of this for mental health reasons! I would expect a month, if it happens in less, then it is a bonus!!!

I admit... we have our hopes up for this week... but if it doesn't happen by then, so be it. We will wait as long as it takes! (Not that we have a choice! LOL!)

And FYI at least last year there was never an email, just a portal change. In my daughters case schools started calling her the next day, and a letter came a week later.
 
Sigh... wow. I called my interviewer and he was legitimately surprised I don't recieve one. Maybe it's by last name? Mine starts with a W.

It isn't that you have not received one, I know I have replied already, but it bears repeating, it is not over. Yu did not receive one yet, but 90% of the scholarships have not been awarded to anyone yet. It has nothing to do with your last name, all portals are updated at the same time. I know it is disappointing, but it is not over. February when the second board comes out will be here before you know it. In the meantime figure out your plan B and C, etc. Good luck!

Thanks. I'll just throw myself even more vigorously into college apps and other scholarships!
 
My DS received an email from his ROO a couple hours ago congratulating him on winning a 4 yr scholarship. However, his dashboard has not been updated.
