Usually after about two weeks. The process takes a bit, so expect 2 weeks to a month at worst. Good luck!

Last year, the results were available online on February 1st. Things are different this year, so it could be quicker or much slower. I saw previous posts saying 2011's January Board results didn't post until the end of February. We'll just have to wait and see.......

    Could anyone help me out?

My file was completed on November 20, 2013, so I should be reviewed by the board on January 6, 2014. If anyone could take the time to look over my stats and answer some questions I would be grateful. (Btw I just joined this site and I'm sorry if I sound like such a noob.)

Not sure it if helps but I'm a girl (17)

    Academics
    GPA- 3.8UW, 4.4W
    ACT-26
    Rank- 8/350
    All Dual Enrollment/AP/Honors courses

    Athletics
Marching Band 2yrs (yes at my school this is a sport you can letter in!)
Tennis 3yr letter (plan on doing it this year)
    Push-ups in 1 min- 32
Sit ups in 1 min- 35
    1 mile run- 7:15

    Leadership
    Key club president 1yr
    Beta club member 3yrs
    National Honors Society 2yrs
    Band section leader 1yr
    Middle school tutor
    140 hrs of community service

PMS- Interview went great and he maxed out my points for the interview section

College I am attending/have gotten accepted into is the University of Central FL (honestly not the hardest school in the world to get into but has a great business program). I am going to major in Marketing with a minor in Digital Design.

    1) If I got a scholarship would I be notified by letter mail or email?
    2) I was told that I should keep in touch with the person in charge of my file but I have no clue who that is or any contact info
    3) Does the scholarship pay for which ever is cheaper out of room/board and tuition or would that be up to me?
    4) If I didn't get the scholarship but still enrolled into the class, would I have to pay for the class and any uniforms/equipment?

For anybody still reading, thank you!

    Kayla0913,
You've posted this same info twice in the last 2 days -- if no one has responded it's because no one here sits on the board. Your GPA & class rank are very good, but your ACT score is average. Marching band is an EC, not an athletic even if your school gives you a letter. Your leadership and other ECs are good; that's great that you maxed out on the interview. Depending on the schools you listed - in-state vs out-of-state - will have a determining factor in whether you receive a scholarship. Hang tight -- you should hear something one way or another (scholarship or reboarded to the 3rd board) in the next few weeks. In the meantime, are you retaking the ACT or SAT? Good luck!

Did you only list one school?

First off...your stats look just like most other applicants, so you have a chance.

Best I can tell you will receive an email followed by an offer letter.
It looks like Cadet Command no longer pins a name to a file, so if you have questions use the email on the application website, and keep in touch with at least one enrollment officer, in your case the person at UCF might be a good person to keep in touch with.
You get to choose, but you also can use it for the more expensive, not cheaper option. If R&B is more, you can use it for R&B. I'm sure there will be a response soon discussion the implications of R&B vs tuition and fees.
Your class and uniforms usually don't cost you anything, so if you don't get the scholarship there should be no reason why you don't enroll in the class if you really want to be an Army Officer.

I'm not gonna chance you, because there are a TON of applicants with stats very similar to yours. Some get it, some don't. Your PFA seems a little weak.

    Ill answer your last questions:
    1) You'll be notified via email first.
    2) You don't have to be in touch with anyone besides the PMS of the school you get the scholarship to
    3) it's up to you whether the scholarship pays for tuition vs room and board. Totally your call
    4) If you just enrolled in military science, the class is free, along with uniforms I believe. Don't quote me on that though!

    Good luck!

College I am attending/have gotten accepted into is the University of Central FL (honestly not the hardest school in the world to get into but has a great business program). I am going to major in Marketing with a minor in Digital Design. If this is an instate school for you that bodes well.

    1) If I got a scholarship would I be notified by letter mail or email? Your first indication will be when this forum starts to light up and you check your portal. Note, the official scholarship offer will come in the mail. That is the "official" notification.
    2) I was told that I should keep in touch with the person in charge of my file but I have no clue who that is or any contact info. You point of contact will likely be your HR person with your college AROTC unit.
    3) Does the scholarship pay for which ever is cheaper out of room/board and tuition or would that be up to me? Up to you, either or but not both.
    4) If I didn't get the scholarship but still enrolled into the class, would I have to pay for the class and any uniforms/equipment? Not sure, I believe the class would still need to be paid for by you but I believe you get any necessary equipment issued to you until you leave the program.
    Best of luck to you.:thumb:

PS your stats look to be very competitive.

sheriff3: the ROTC introductory academic class at UCF is open to any student (It will probably be called something like Leadership) and would be paid for just like any class there… part of the quarter/semester payment that takes care of anywhere from 12 to 18 units on a flat rate basis. Universities don't charge per class or per unit anymore… other than community colleges (JCs).

If by "enrolling in the class" you mean joining ROTC (which is Class, Lab, PT, etc.), then there is no "ROTC" charge… just the class fee that I mentioned above is already included in your Semester payment to UCF.

The only time you may be charged for the ROTC class is if you are over the maximum number of credits allowed for a semester, at which point you would be charged per the university's price schedule.

Florida universities (which UCF is) do not have a flat rate basis for the semester. The state schools all still charge per credit hour.

ROTC is charged at the same per credit hour as every other class.

What I meant by my comment on paying for ROTC is it is charged like any other class ( accounting, stats...). I assume all schools charge for any class taught/attended unless one is one scholarship. Do any schools let someone attend ROTC classes for free?

If you are a full time student at one of my schools, whether you take 12 credits or you take 19 credits you pay the same tuition and fees.
