Arotc reduction (rumor)

I can absolutely agree with some of the above posts. To imply ROTC is somehow inferior to a SA is just an opinion, some young people want to SA experience and some do not. We have twins, one who had a Full Ride and AROTC 4 yr scholarship to the school he REALLY wanted to go to, then visited and stayed overnight at WP and his mind changed. He is thriving in that enviroment!

Twin #2 also had a Full Ride (with an NROTC Scholarship) to his first choice school, visited USNA and really didn't like it. He now has a NROTC Side Load Scholarship, is thriving in NROTC, and at his University (a top five school in his chosen field).

Bottom line, is two people with two different choices, both chose wisely and are very happy, although doing it two different ways. And the twin at NROTC will have the same opportunities as his USNA counterparts, and the twin at USMA will have to compete with AROTC Grads for Branch and Post selection. But both are happy!!
