AROTC Still Boarded

Does anyone know if they are still selecting people for AROTC? My status still says Boarded, and I'm getting a little worried. I was accepted to UMass, RIT, SUNY Brockport, and SUNY Buffalo (My 1, 2, 3, and 5 schools). I have to commit to one by May 1st, and am waiting on AROTC to make my decision. If I was denied, wouldn't I have gotten something stating that fact by now? Help is much appreciated.

Pick the school you want, contact the ROTC cadre on that campus, and ask about the campus based programs. Yes, it looks like national scholarships have all been awarded. However, there have been recent posts about campus based scholarships already being awarded to incoming frosh. Oh, and let me add... Shame on you for being a New Yorker and supporting the Red Sox!

I e-mailed my #3 school (which I like better than my #1) and I was told I could compete for an on-campus scholarship. P.S: No shame in being a fan of the team that won the World Series.

How come Clarkson is not on that list of schools??

Would AROTC ever send out the firm answer like this "you were not selected for 2014 scholarship" just like Navy and AF? Or if your status still says "BOARDED" then assuming you are not getting one.

They will....it just hasn't happened yet.

Long1701, I would read the above as an invitation to apply to Clarkson and have a conversation with them about their highly thought of ROTC unit. If they have a degree and course of study you are interested in I would certainly reach out to them. Also if I'm not mistaken they may have funds for R&B (please double check). Good luck.
