Beat Air Force Week

I have to admit this is pretty good! Air Force should be flying high tomorrow! :thumb:

Of course it was an Air Force training plane which they painted in Navy colors.

Very reliable sources state that the following is the cover of the November USAFA alumni magazine that has already been printed. Maybe they should just stick with painting their wrecked airplanes. It would definitely be less costly to clean up the mess.

What's this all about??

Anybody know why they refer to their alumni as the "Association of Graduates of the USAFA" ? Is it for affect or is there some genuine logic behind the moniker?? Do they differentiate non-grads who may be alums ... but not grads??:spacecraft:  :bounce: :groupwave:

I think the name pretty much says it all. No where do they say they are an alumni association. They are a "graduate association". You have to be a graduate to be a member. Their bylaws do have associate and honorary members, but neither is for cadets who didn't graduate. Bylaws:

Section 1. All graduates of the Academy are eligible for membership. An eligible graduate may become a member by satisfying the membership requirements prescribed by the Board. Graduate members will be eligible for all benefits and privileges.

Section 2. Honorary membership may be awarded to persons who have rendered outstanding and conspicuous service to the Air Force and/or the Academy. Honorary members must be recommended by a member of the Board and receive unanimous acceptance by all members present at a quorum of the Board. Honorary membership is restricted to twenty-five (25) living persons. Honorary members will not pay dues but will be eligible for all the benefits accruing to membership.

Section 3. Associate Membership has been awarded to persons who have been identified by the President/CEO as friends of the Academy. Associate members pay dues and are eligible for all the benefits and privileges of membership

Anyway, the Navy team saw it before they left for Colorado Springs. Motivationally wise, it was probably worth at least one touchdown, maybe more. Thanks USAFA Grads!!!!:shake:

Saturday Army played VMI (Army 62-VMI 7)to help them build up their confidence (and team statistics). Navy played Air Force for the same reasons.

"We don't play Notre Dame,
We don't play Tulane,
We just play Davidson,
Because that's the grand old Army Way."
-Navy song-

Is it time to start the "Countdown to Army" thread?

Go Navy, Beat Army
