So, as the day draws near...what do our young candidates fear the most? And what are they most excited about?
The thing Im most excited for is donning the uniform, especially the ACU and slapping that US Army tag (Im not sure if that is what it is called) onto the uniform. It gives me chills just thinking about it. Also, I am looking forward to throwing a grenade, rappelling, and even the gas chamber just to say that I did it. The thing Im most worried about is the APFT and being an absent minded idiot by forgetting something important like my rifle.

DS's reply to these questions: Biggest fear...no phone and most excited about the Blackhawk ride over to beast.
Are they still flying some of the candidates to Buckner on Blackhawks this year?
Most fearful of: falling out during a run
Most excited about: mountaineering training
My APFT time is about 17min on average. Not good, but it started at 19 back in December, so it's a good improvement. But Rday is on Monday...
Don't eat stupidly before a run either. You don't wanna have to stick your finger down your throat to make yourself feel better half way through.
Most nervous about: PT specifically pushups
most excited for: Doing all of the combat training (guns, grenades, rapelling etc.) I've never done anything like that before and I can't wait to do it for the first time
