Biomedical engineering

I don't see this listed as a technical major in the AFROTC scholarship website but it is clearly a STEM major. Anybody know if they consider this an acceptable subject for scholarship consideration?

So the cool thing about AFROTC is that there are a variety of majors considered technical that are not listed on the AFs website. For instance I study Digital Media Design, which the AF considers technical because of the heavy programming emphasis. I have a friend that studies Biotechnology, which is also considered technical.

Note that not all technical majors have 5 year scholarship benefits; generally this is reserved for engineers. My degree is a 4 year benefit.

The best course of action is to call the detachment you wish to attend; they can look up the degree to see if it is technical or not.

So my son completed the online application and it appears that he had to choose specific majors. He was able to select 3 majors but all from a drop down menu. It would not allow him to type in anything else. Is this something that he can change later in the process if he decides he is really most interested in biomedical engineering?
