BOOK CLUB

Currently reading Hemingway's "To Have and Have Not". And for summer mind candy I just finished a Mary Higgins Clark mystery.

I too cannot do the e-reader thing. I still visit the library with some regularity!

I read a decent bit (20 - 30 books per year). I am currently reading The Revenant. Only 25% of the way through it, but is a good read.

I am re-reading all of Willa Cather this summer (with real books, no e-readers for the fencersmother or fencersfather). Such evocative prose, one can just feel the hot wind burn over the Nebraska prairie, smell the cactus as the archbishop rides through the desert southwest, lost, hear the voices shriek with excitement as the ship arrives in Montreal from France, in the 1600s, after a long journey.

Currently reading "Zero to One, Notes on startups, or how to build the future" by Peter Thiel. Interesting perspective on startups.

Had to go check out the sample on amazon. Very interesting. Never could understand how people think you can teach entrepreneurship.

Endurance by Alfred Lansing.
I read this book, because it was a school assignment in Lit class during senior year. I was hesitant at first, but after getting about 1/4th of the way into the book, I realized the book was about a bed time story my dad used to recite to me every night when he was home from deployments.
Love the book. Cherished the memories. Would recommend 10/10.

I'm going to throw down a little LITS list soon.... I just need to find the time to do it....
