Is the "branch detail Infantry" a growing trend and, if so, why?
Congrats to your DS. Is he a December grad?He called yesterday to tell me his BOLC dates
My son will branch Signal. He is very happy!Heard that some Battalions are releasing Branches starting today. It's always nice to see where these new LTs will be going. Good luck to all of you.
My DS found out his component back in OctoberDid the cadets also find out if they got active duty or reserve duty at the same time? Or just find out their branches?
DS is GRFD. He got FA and knows his future detachment/assignment. He called yesterday to tell me his BOLC dates. He sounded very excited!
At Clarkson we made our first Cyber officer, and we had a young lady get branched Armor. Was a pretty good year for our senior class.
Be prepared to study his butt off. DS and his buddy from college both said this course is very study intensive and is considered the most difficult BOLC after aviation. I do believe they are changing some things so they will no longer study formulas from WWI , not joking. Best of luck.
DS is currently in FA BOLC set to graduate in January. Holler with any questions as well. I’m sure the answers will not be as comprehensive as Bulls but I will do my best. Tell tour DS to be prepared to .....

Be in shape, they like to PT some .
Join the holiday inn points program as they will be staying in a HI express the entire time. And most of all...

Sorry to interject about a branch I know nothing about....but, I remember a parent/teacher meeting at the beginning of the school year.
Both DS's had the same HS calculus teacher. He was a farm boy who ended up, 30 years later, as a HS calculus teacher. His advice was, "If you want to learn math, you do math." IOW, there is no such thing as studying for the exam.
