C/O 2019 Mailbox Stalkers

mom2CO18--here's sending good vibes for receving good news on BFE, Plan B, Plan C. Guess my DS is one of the lucky ones as he had his Plan B and Plan C schools secured by Nov of last year and he has just been waiting it out for his Plan A which is the USNA and thus why he didn't take the early decision route for either school.

My DD BFE arrived today, no heads up or phone call before, after a long wait. So proud and thankful she has the opportunity to join her sister at USNA. Best wishes to all those still waiting and keep the faith.

Yay, Congratulations to your DD!

another mail day of mostly junk mail (solar-which we already have, swimming pool--which we already have, cable TV--which we already have) and the two thing we don't have---a BFE and a TWE....lol!

So....was there a TWE AND a bfe in your box or not?

same here...other college stuff but no bfe. Mail counter guy brought out handfull of mail and my heart sank when I saw all the metered mail letters...but alas, no TWE!!!

Day 41 and more of the same...Nothing...

I know that I should be glad that I am still in the game, but I don't like being a bench warmer. After reading a lot of posting on this forum, it seems that contacting my MOC or BGO could be a waste of time. I don't want to bug them especially if I have to reapply next year.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've tried destroying Junkmail, but even that doesn't make me feel better at this point

Nothing helps. Each day that you survive is still another day of not knowing and having to wait 24 more hours for the mail to come.

I was so happy when I saw the mailwoman carrying a super-thick manilla envelope, I happily accepted it from her and said "thank you!"
Without looking at the address, I opened it, and was confused by the contents. It was a stack of all my grandpa's military records, in addition to a letter that said "hey, the Army owes you a medal, so you should expect to receive it in the mail soon". Not the military package I was expecting. Lol!

Mail come n gone...crickets here.
DS said he will call MOC office tomorrow to try and get some closure. He's wanting to know so he can get on with his planning,

Still waiting here too. Nothing but bills! Hoping there is some news before we leave for Spring Break so DS can make decisions.

To update, I finally sent my BGO an email and he stated that admissions is trying to get the word out as soon as they can. They know we have other schools waiting on their decision. He said that he will check his system to see if he can tell what's going on. Another words still waiting, but at least there is possibly some movement.

Keep the torch burning, folks! I know it is a long wait but it is always worth it! Hang in there! :thumb:

I realize it's easy for me to say this now, but I definitely feel your pain. I waited 51 days for USNA and 132 for USAFA! And yes, it was worth it--for both of them. :)

--so now the deciding begins!! As parents, now the waiting is for DS to decide which set of paperwork to sign :)

DS called his MOC office and they said they had nothing for him at this point.

Sign the AFA to free up the position for someone who made the commitment to attend The Naval Academy over ten years ago. I chose the NA to fly and design planes. The Navy has more jets and the AF is taking pilots and turning them into drone fliers. This gives a new meaning to the term "Chair Pilot."

If you waited 132 days for the AFA, there must be a reason.
