C/O 2019 Mailbox Stalkers

PA-16 here. Just had my nomination ceremony today which was sort of bittersweet, because I knew beforehand that I was declined by both USNA and USMMA. Still on the fence about reapplying a 3rd time. Anyways, hope the rest of you all hear some good news soon!!!

How many have applied and got as far as you? How many had the fortitude to try again? You are better than most. You are another great example of how amazing our youth is. I have a feeling you are going to a great leader some day. Best of luck, and blessings to you.

Gee. :rolleyes: Thanks guys. Even though I don't know any of you, it is encouraging to "be" with other people that have gone through the same process.
 
It is so happy to have someone from NC going to VMI. What city are you living in? I am in Raleigh. Do you have any idea when will we report to VMI?

Although I have an uncle and two cousins that live outside of Wilmington, I am from New Jersey. For report days, I know STP is the first week of July and Matriculation is in mid-August. I also noticed you wrote that you will be part of their NROTC program; I will be a NROTC college programmer.
 
As I sit here reading all of these posts I understand now how significant my DS appointment really is and how blessed (relieved) that we don't have to stalk the mailbox anymore. He rec'd a NROTC scholarship on 31Oct, then an LOA on 5Nov. We were shocked when the BFE showed up on 15Nov. We didn't know what the BFE was...called the BGO and was excited to find out the appointment was the real deal.

I will pray for those of you that are still waiting and that you will get the BFE.

I am also in NC-04! I know of one other person at my school who is also applying to USNA and has a nomination from David Price. Neither of us have heard anything. My back ups are currently USCGA, NC State College of Engineering and UNC.

Sorry to hear NJShore. You should be very very proud of your DS as well as everyone here on this thread regardless of TWE or BFE. I'm sure we will not hear the last of him. Keep the pedal to the metal for the quest for Class of 2020!
 
Sorry NJshore...a good quote.. "problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines ". Staying alive here in PA..good news is DS just got into Villanova and they have a most excellent NROTC unit from what we hear! lots of options on the table..
 
The mailbox stalking ends today with receipt of my very own TWE #3. Thank you everyone and I hope everyone the best at USNA this year. I'm still waiting to hear from USMMA, I'll be a Naval Officer yet. There's an African proverb that says "Smooth seas do not make the skilled sailor", if I've learned anything from being denied thrice over by USNA, it's perseverance and dedication to my dreams and goals. Everyone still in the game, I hope you all get your BFE's and succeed.
