My DD just got her FQOA to USMMA today, so we are in the exact same scenario (without the DoDMERB waiver). Her NROTC would likely be U of St. Thomas crosstown to U of Minnesota.

We will work through all of it, but right now I bet USMMA is a better option for her than USNA reapply and losing a year. I guess we’d better head out to look at King’s Point.

Wish we had the time to run out to NY to visit a few places. DD is in massive crunch time right now in school and can't spare the time away . . . finishing strong! 💪🏼 Would love to hear what you think about KP!

It was mid-april. Just switched from "pending" to "waitlist" one morning so had to confirm with our BGO what that actually meant. He's been great throughout the process.

If you're asking about getting off the waitlist, last year it showed up in the portal on a Friday and saw it immediately (I was checking every single day at that point) but the notification email didn't come till three days later on Sunday that I was accepted.

Awesome to see you were waitlisted without a nomination. No such luck with my DS, but glad someone else is getting traction with this crazy process! The silver lining is that we found out who got the appointment in our district, and the competition was over before it started, so some solace in the fact that it wasn’t going to happen even with a nomination in hand. Good luck!

Ok, to rephrase...extremely unlikely to get in. General idea still stands. We know a significant amount of the people from our area currently at Annapolis. Either from athletics, work or school related. It's pretty much slate winners and athletes. Is there a onesie/twosie there somewhere...almost certainly, but that's the basic flavor.
